Jacqueline has dedicated herself to the practice, study and teaching of yoga since 2006, is a certified Reiki Master and has a 200-hr Hatha Yoga Teacher Certification through YogaWorks. Her love affair with yoga began from the first time she stepped onto her mat and will be forever a devoted student of the practice as she believes the practice is what helped her overcome body image issues, and health challenges, keeping her grounded, healthy, and positive. Jacqueline teaches with a warm,light-hearted spiritual approach, weaving into her classes philosophy, breath work, alignment cues and sequences of postures that integrate a balance of both precision and flow. She believes in offering her students a safe and well-rounded practice that builds strength, flexibility and balance, leaving students with a level of stillness,improved self-awareness and rejuvenation. Jacqueline makes her classes suitable for every body and respects where each individual is in their body by offering the use of modifications and props. Sourannha Chaarani

Sourannha found yoga to be the best tool to heal her body during and after pregnancy. It is also a great tool for recovery from sports related injuries. During her 200 hr. teacher training, Sourannha enjoyed the study of anatomy and physiology.  With a better understanding of the human body and the benefits it gains from a regular yoga practice, she is able to teach yoga to help achieve injury prevention in other physical activities too.  After years of practicing yoga, as she reconnected spiritually she reaped the mental and spiritual benefits of the more subtle aspects of this discipline. At the moment she is finishing up her 500 hr Teacher Training. Sourannha enjoys teaching a dynamic vinyasa flow class and Yin.

 

 

 

AMELIE FERY

CERTIFICATION & EDUCATION:

  • 2005-2009: Teacher training in Brussels at the Belgian Federation of Yoga under the mentorship of Frans Moors, direct longtime student of T.K.V. Desikachar

  • 2010: 250 h teacher training at the Breathing Center in Los Angeles with Robert Birnberg

  • 2011: 300 h teacher training at Yogaworks in Orange County

After 10 years of dedicated practice, I took my first yoga teacher training in Brussels, followed by two others upon my arrival in California in 2008. 
Teaching yoga for the MS Society for 3 years has given me the opportunity to incorporate mindfulness and stress reduction techniques in class, as well as expand my knowledge in adapting the postures to the students and not the opposite. 
Currently studying psychology to become a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am fond of the idea of blending the ancient yogic principles with modern psychology.

Mia fell in love with yoga immediately after taking her first yoga class. Being so passionate about yoga she decided to study and share her love for the practice, completing two 200 hour teacher trainings from Saddleback College and CorePower Yoga. She believes that connection of body, breath, and movement is so healing and so important in life . She hopes that everyone is willing to have an open heart to give yoga a chance, “If you can breathe, you can do yoga” -Krishnamacharya.

Krista Stevenson is a 200 RYT and completed her training with Tiffany Russo through Annie Carpenter’s SmartFLOW program, Spring 2017. She is committed to a daily yoga practice and loves to share this passion with others. She considers herself always a student, and continually seeks new knowledge and techniques to offer her students. She began yoga as a way to become physically fit, and along the way found that there is a strong, deep connection between our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. She likes to think of the practice of yoga as a union of many different things that we can first approach through asana, or physical postures. Then, as our bodies align, other aspects in our lives naturally follow. Although she is always in the practice of Yoga, Krista also enjoys running races and spending time with her two kids.

Some people’s paths go straight, mine never has. Whether it has been my education, career, home, or family, I have always taken a different route than most. Yoga has been one of the only constants in my life for decades. It was only within the past 7 years, however, that I realized my deep passion for yoga and what I am learning from it each day. Over the years yoga has given me tranquility in my chaotic life, energy when I was beyond exhausted, balance in what can be a stressful life, and more strength each day in my physical and emotional body. In 2011 I did my first 200-hr RYT teacher training with Ubuntu in Napa, Ca.  In 2017 I decided to go a step further and completed another 200-hr Teacher Training in Annie Carpenter’s Smartflow under the direction of my teacher, Tiffany Russo. In my teaching I believe  yoga is an inquiry into the self. My classes are about strengthening from the inside out and discovering what each pose can teach us in that moment.  In addition to teaching, I am also the general manager of this wonderful studio and feel lucky to have found my new home among such great instructors.
